Family Pantry Honorees to be celebrated at Gala

Kick off the summer season at the 6th Annual Summer Gala for the Family Pantry of Cape Cod, Sunday June 11, 2017 at the Wychmere Beach Club, Snow Inn Road, Harwich Port, MA from 5-8 pm. Sample elegant edibles and enjoy a special performance by North Shore all while experiencing breathtaking views of the ocean.

Benefit Chairs Tom and Shelly O’Neill along with David Metzler, Matt and Erin Kelley, Demetrios and Sarah Dasco, Paul and Mary Jo Barrett and Kip and Stephanie O’Neill and their committee have put together an evening to remember while raising funds for The Family Pantry of Cape Cod.

This year’s Honorees have been announced: 2016 gala honorees

2016 Founders award

The Founders Award recognizes someone with the Founders core values.

This year’s recipients are Albert & Marion Gausz. Albert and Marion are longtime supporters of the Pantry. The Gausz family remembers their humble beginnings and they have always appreciated what the Family Pantry does for the Cape Community. The couple is a frequent visitor to the Pantry, visiting with staff and volunteers. We are delighted to recognize all Marion and Al have done for the Pantry.

2016 President’s Award

The Presidents Award recognizes someone who has supported the pantry significantly over many years. The TJX Corporation epitomizes this commitment. The TJX team was instrumental in launching the new Second Glance Thrift Shop location, providing fixtures, time and expertise. In addition, the team helped to re-design the Family Pantry client boutique this past winter. We are so pleased to be able to recognize their generosity by presenting the Family Pantry of Cape Cod’s President's award to the TJX Corporation.

Proceeds from the Gala will benefit the Family Pantry of Cape Cod the largest food pantry on Cape Cod serving anyone in need with no restrictions, geographic or otherwise. The Family Pantry of Cape Cod provided services to over 9,200 people in 2016. New clients were up 17% and the Pantry does not see this trend changing in the foreseeable future. As they work to meet the needs of their clients, and provide food and services to those in need, The Family Pantry of Cape Cod extends its gratitude to their many supporters, volunteers, and neighbors. The Pantry is committed to fulfilling their mission and your support is critical to their success.

Tickets are $150.00 per person and are available online at www.thefamilypantry.com or by contacting Christine Menard cmenard@thefamilypantry.com or 508-432-6519.
