The Family Pantry has a strong relationship with the Greater Boston Food Bank since 1989. The pantry provides warehouse space to the Greater Boston Food Bank to run a Cape Drop. The Greater Boston Food Bank comes to the Cape 4-5 days a month with two large tractor trailer trucks loaded with food for 29 of the pantries and soup kitchens on Cape Cod. The Cape Drop makes it possible for these organizations to avoid a long trip to Boston to pick up food. As one of the largest member agencies The Family Pantry has a seat on the Greater Boston Food Bank’s Agency Advisory Council.
