Thank You for enabling us to achieve our goal
The Pantry’s Second Glance Thrift Shop was established in 2007 to help provide a dependable stream of revenue and reduce the Pantry’s reliance on fluctuating funds from grants, fundraising events, and donations.
we've reached our goal of $1M
When The Family Pantry of Cape Cod learned that the Second Glance Thrift Shop’s building on Route 28 in Harwich Port would be torn down, The Pantry’s Board of Directors conducted a needs assessment. They determined that purchasing a building would be most cost effective and that a larger space would allow the Pantry to increase self-generated revenue.
The Pantry purchased a 5,400 SF building at 265 Main Street in West Harwich. This site has allowed the Pantry to expand the thrift shop business to include furniture and home goods, which is working to generate more revenue.
The Pantry’s fundraising goal is to raise $1 million to pay off the building, renovate the space, and establish a building fund. Once this goal is achieved, additional Second Glance Thrift Shop revenue can be used to purchase food for clients.
